Middith
Contents
Briefly
Middith is a small, xenophobic border town laying on the southern banks of the Ridhon River, which forms the border between Riva and Doma. It is a primarily self-sufficient farming community.
History
In the early 1310s, Middith became the regular target of dragoon raids. On the stated logic that the city properly belonged to the country Riva, and that they of course represented Rivan military, the dragoons came to collect taxes on behalf of the Rivan government. Shortly thereafter, a representative of the Doman Shango showed up, offering protection services to the town.
Both the raids and the protection racket ended abruptly once news of the situation reached the capital, an occurrence which coincided with the unique circumstances of Robert C. Kliyy's arrival therein. News of the situation reached the royal family through the du Mythrils (Aya, Ara, Ayra), prompting King Charles to send out a special force task to deal with the situation. Later, others were sent to investigate other sections of the northern border to look for similar issues.
