Before the founding of [[Nekonia]], [[nekojin]] formed tribes of roughly 20 adults. These tribes were called ''prides'' and primarily consisted of females. Upon reaching an appropriate age, males were either sent out or had to challenge the reigning king to remain in the pride; most decided to go out on their own. From this wandering past, the nekojin were more well known throughout the continent than the [[inujin]].

Slowly but surely, as advances were made in domestication and farming, the prides began to settle into more permanent holdings. Prides ceased to be when the lands of Nekonia were united under a single king, a process which began under [[King Fenn Khole]] and finished under the regent [[Khole Dell]].
