King Fenn Khole
King Fenn Khole is the nekojin responsible for beginning the campaign to defeat King Rey Dell, a campaign which would eventually found the nation of Nekonia. Originally the king of a pride of roughly 20 adult nekojin, Khole was an elderly nekojin whose pride controlled a small settlement near the Cat o' Nine Tails. Dell, who hoped to control the attractive river plains, continually harassed Khole's pride. It wasn't until Rey Dell destroyed Khole's village that Khole began his counterattacks, however.
Khole created an army from his pride as well as other refugees and malcontent nekojin from the river plains who had suffered from Rey Dell's actions. Rey Dell was engaged in battle for months, but continued to push back Khole's forces with superior numbers and training. Dell had only a short time of victory, however, as Laire Khole, daughter of Fenn Khole, trained her own army of females to fight alongside her father's forces. The tides turned, and ten years later, Dell's forces were defeated.
Fenn Khole pressed Rey Dell to pledge allegiance to him and recognize him as king; Dell refused and was executed. However, Rey Dell's son, Takama Dell, assumed his father's place and was dubbed lord. Takama Dell proved to be loyal to Khole and married Laire Khole soon after Khole's death in 510. The region, now jointly under the reign of Takama Dell and Laire Khole, was dubbed Nekonia.
