NOTE: There is a great deal more information about Valth created. To obtain it, chat with Namagomi. He hasn't had time to write it all up.

Briefly

Valth is currently in a corporate civil war that has been going on for 120 years. People don't care about the reason behind this war anymore, instead desiring it to stop. Most of the length of the war can be attributed to mercenaries, who are hired out by the momentarily losing side. These mercenaries even out the strength of each side, and prolong and lengthen the war -- and thus ensure future job opportunities.

Valthi is inhabited primarily with humans and specifically with a subrace of humankind referred to as Valthi or Valthi humans. The country has a related caste system in use with the predominant mindset being 'the more pureblood, the better.' A citizens's rank in society is quite literally determined from this qualifier, with tattoos found on the left forearm for ready identification. There is, however, one very notable route a citizen may choose to follow in order to better their rank in society, and that is to receive military training. While this officially places one above 'pureblood' in rank, one's tattoo design still incorporates the original birth rank.

Outside of military and government officials, pureblooded Valthi are top-class. Valthi of mixed ancestry usuallly have Rivan ancestors, mainly because Riva is the only country directly bordering Valth. Valthi of mixed ancestry by far outnumber the pureblooded. The government does not try to control immigration, necessarily, but attempt more to just to isolate the foreigners in the lower class sectors and jobs. The less 'impure' Valthi can be found in the major cities, due to segregation, or in the smaller cities that haven't been divided into sectors yet.

MUSH description

Valth(#23Rn):

The nation of Valth is a peninsular, almost arrowhead-shaped country situated to the east of Riva. The Val'ri bay and Val'ri sea border it to its immediate west and south respectively, while the Val'ri river provides an official border between Valth and its western neighbor. The mountain range to the north acts as an unofficial border, though is typically strayed from due to fears of wyverns that occasionally venture past their mountainous habitat.

Akin to Riva, Valth has anything but a welcoming atmosphere, between its climate and its social structure. A similar trend of political instability runs in Valth, some of which has only most recently started to show signs of cessation, though apathy and skepticism has long ago settled amongst the masses. Conflict played a significant role in Valth's birth, and it now rules alongside deception in the state.
