Franklyn Domanada is the previous king of Doma, father to King Charles Domanada.

Born in 1244, he grew up as many kings before him did, in the castle, privately tutored, and trained in combat. Taking to studies of politics and history well, he became the equal of any scholar, and took those skills to his duties as king when he ascended to the throne in 1270, with his queen, Cheril Dilvia Domanada (nee Goldbourne).

Described as a harsh man, he ruled with a stern yet fair hand, keeping the economy stable and maintaining peace in the land. The borders were generally open to outsiders wishing to immigrate, but there was, at the time, a stigma on immigrants, especially non-humans, that kept them at bay.

In the course of Franklyn's reign, uprisings were common, as his austere rule and economic kept a wide berth between rich and poor, noble and commoner. Whether these attempted coups were justified is still a bit of a mystery in Doman history. In any event, none were ever entirely successful. However, the coup by Franklyn's nephew, Duke Sean Corin Oneal Kole Domanada in 1308 was the MOST successful, as he did succeed in killing the king with his cohort, the demon Dullahan. However, Charles survived and escaped, eventually taking the throne.

Franklyn would be remembered as the precursor to a good king, and never fully condemned for his actions.
