Squall Castle, the center of Barian government, is located in the City of Storms, the city of eternal rain; underneath the castle runs the Devil's River. It is the residence of the royal family and also home to the Grand General of the Barian army, should he or she choose to live there. Today it is the hub of Vladimir Vaniyakna's power.
Amanziani Herishi ordered the construction of Squall Castle in the early 13th century EP, after successfully leading his forces to eradicate the Barian demons and being voted into power. Thirty-two men died in its construction.
