As the legends go, the Black Forest was once a beautiful, sylvan forest; however, the actions of a crazed druid corrupted the forest. It is, now, a nightmarish place full of hostile creatures and unholy blendings of nature and dark magic.

The Black Forest lays on the western frontier of Evringshal and does a great deal to stymie the nation's westward advancement. It partially lays in the province of Mirwell.
