Chardonnay Bottle

Chardonnay Bottle is the younger of the Bottle twins. For years he had lived in the social shadow of his twin, Champagne. "Always second place" was something he commonly mumbled. However, in the privacy of family Champagne was a kind and loving brother, and Chardonnay admired him. When both he and his brother started college, Char saw this as a great opportunity to get ahead of his brother. He pursued literature and anthropology, excelling in both. His victory was cut short when Champagne quit school and was kicked out of their home. Chardonnay could not sympathize with his brother and was bitter after his leaving.

He worked hard to finish school and obtain a degree. Suddenly, he was thrust into the forefront and his abilities were forced to be acknowledged. In the beginning Chardonnay enjoyed the attention but his every waking thought was with Champagne. He was torn between showing off to his second-half and making him proud. Chardonnay made the decision one night to visit his brother in the Middlerealm. He asked his father if he could go, as it was proper, but was met with an angry succubus that he did not know. Later, Char received permission from their concerned mother. She also requested that he take his sister Merlot along.

With Merlot's proficient magical ability, they were able to locate a nexus which opened on the Beau side and rushed to see Champ. They were shocked to find out that Champagne was well known and, among the ladies mainly, well liked. They found him with a thriving business and decided to give the "human life" a try.
