- Arch mage144: Basically, Priam and Doc want to know why there's less reverence than they'd expect. The answer? It happens off camera. o_o
- Why don't the gods interfere much directly? Because it's unbalancing to Gaera and that makes Ishtar very unhappy.
Why aren't the faiths powerful and prevelant? Mostly because they work in the background, offscreen. Also: I don't think there are many people who follow just one deity. I portray most of the Gaeran populace as Pantheonists: They honor the majority of the deities in some way. As a result, individual faiths are not quite so powerful as the monotheisms of the West.
Also, it seems that humanism is a very prevalent thing in much of Gaera. There is no real idea of one must be so faithful to ____ to keep the universe running. Rather, being a good person in general is enough. Thus, there is probably a much higher amount of irreligious people; those who don't pay much more than lip service to the gods; than in history." -- Pervy - "Unlike the Greek Gods, the Gaeran ones just can't do what they want. This is because of Ishtar and Primaer [who, unlike the Greek Gods, would be more like the Christian God (Except the fact that they're not always good...) in the fact that they do not suffer from whims, or other similar problems that may have an effect on Gaera...] would not allow such a thing." -- Daien
