Solasia Support Attack Auracore Armor Falcon-71 "Apophis" Heavy Sniper 'Mech
Designed by and commissioned for Yuri Jade, the Apophis model excels in both long- and short-range combat. With a powerful passive sensor suite and unsurpassed stealth capabilities, as well as the ability to deal out serious harm to any target that is not over the horizon, the Apophis excels in the role of sniper, but is more than capable of entering the fray and giving as good as it gets, and its thick armor plating helps ensure it can get back out again. The main problems the Apophis faces are its consistent troubles with headstrong astral symbiotes, its low speed, and the fact that the standard design only features energy weapons.
Its head appears to be that of a cobra, with the hood coming slightly down the shoulders. When the Apophis is visible, it is primarily charcoal-colored with red accents. It features two Heavy Blasters, one mounted on either arm behind the hand.
Features
The Apophis features a 100-percent analog ejection system, which will function even if there is a power or electrical failure aboard.
The personality core aboard the Apophis is located in the rear of the cockpit, and in the event of an ejection the personality core will also be ejected.
The cockpit of the Apophis is linked to a drink machine and stereo.
The Apophis comes standard with an Alpha Strike, which is a linkage of all weapons systems on board, enabling the pilot to fire all of his guns at once. (Exploding into space is optional.)
Personality
No Tek armors really have a personality, but they have a reasonable facsimile of one and Yuri thinks that they really are sentient. None of the following information is actually true. Yuri just thinks it is.
Yuri commissioned his Apophis with the specific instruction that it should be delivered without an astral symbiote, and populated it with Desdemona. Desdemona, in addition to having a huge ego, is extremely berserk and paranoid. In the simulators and in battle, the combination of Yuri's bloodlust and Desdemona's bloodlust often leads to Yuri making shots to the cockpits of fallen foes once all more immediate threats have been eliminated. As a result of her paranoia, Desdemona also refuses to allow technicians to service her unless Yuri is present and watching them. No one is sure what would happen if the techs insisted, but it is suspected that it would involve Desdemona's huge scary 'Mech feet. Partially as a result of what she thinks of as The Incident, Desdemona has formed a close bond with Yuri, or at least with his more aggressive personality, and refuses to allow anyone else to pilot her, even and especially Yuri's Maverick personality. Desdemona is also extremely possessive of Yuri, and would likely become quite angry if another 'Mech- or another woman- entered his life in any serious capacity.
Desdemona is also afraid of heights, and refuses to have any sort of jump jets mounted inside her. She also gets nervous around cliffs over about 60 feet high. This makes dropship deployment interesting and more than a little dangerous.
Horrible lies end here. You may remove your fingers from your ears and stop yelling LALA.
