Background
Even though Izue's hybrid symbiotes were good in theory, there were things necessary to see what needed to be done, if anything, to make them usable at all. Thus, a testbed was needed; something not terribly expensive, but not as cheap and shoddy as certain models that will not be named here. As such, an older model, the OPT-LBX9/M "Shadowstorm", was chosen. For the purposes of longevity in case of faults, as well as lengthened data-gathering, the ordered models were strengthened massively on the durability front, before being sent out.
These units wreaked havoc on multiple installations on the western Igalan front before attacking MAC Igala D. There, Delta Squadron obtained their first taste of real combat, and the "blitzkrieg" strategy that the standard models used still proved useful here. However, they were ultimately taken down by the various groups housed there; that is to say, those that didn't get blasted into component particles. It is arguable that they had also participated in a raid on another facility in Baron, where they attacked, stole a prototype satellite weapon, and then retreated. Since then, they were presumably destroyed in the attack on Sentancorp's underground facility.
Description
This Ghost Armor looks remarkedly similar to the mass-produced variant of the Shadowstorm, the OPT-LBX9/M, however, many alterations underneath the frame have been made in order to make them more functional for their given purpose; the first and foremost is that they are effectively testbeds for Izue Mazuo's hybridized astral symbiotes--there is no proper cockpit where it should be, and the Personality Core Containment is more heavily reinforced than normal in order to ensure the symbiote's containment within the A2. In addition, the frame, armor, and systems had been reinforced; potentially to obtain further combat data more easily by prolonging the Armor's life. For unknown reasons, the frame had been enlarged and the motors and generator strengthened; it is presumed that Sentancorp had intended to equip heavier weapons on it initially, but decided against such financial expenditure on a testbed, midway through the construction. Despite this, it still remains a threat in its own right.
