During the [[Kitiwai Karnival]] of 1309, an attack was staged on the [[Kitiwai line of regents (Nekonia)|King and Queen Kitiwai]] during their appearance in the [[Nekonia City|capital]]. The attacker appearaed to be an [[inujin]] rider on a [[chimera]] mount. Tensions strained between [[Nekonia]] and [[Inustan]] in the wake of the attack.
