Idran1701 (8:07:21 AM): Hey, morning Shaun.
CGNakibe (8:07:35 AM): Hey Justin. How goes?
Idran1701 (8:07:50 AM): Pretty good. You?
CGNakibe (8:09:07 AM): Alright here.
Idran1701 (8:09:15 AM): *nod* Glad to hear it.*
Idran1701 (8:09:16 AM): *.

Idran1701 (4:34:53 PM): Hey, Shaun.
CGNakibe (4:35:01 PM): Lo.
Idran1701 (4:35:08 PM): What's up?
CGNakibe (4:35:20 PM): Nothing much at all.
Idran1701 (4:35:52 PM): *nod* Up for continuing the session, then? :D
CGNakibe (4:36:35 PM): I suppose it can be done!
Idran1701 (4:37:34 PM): Oh, you suppose? :P
CGNakibe (4:38:05 PM): Yep, I suppose. Or something like that. >:P
CGNakibe (4:38:19 PM): Oddly been kind of tired today.
Idran1701 (4:38:37 PM): Oh? Everything all right?
CGNakibe (4:38:50 PM): Yeah, they are.
Idran1701 (4:39:38 PM): *nod* Okay.
Idran1701 (4:40:41 PM): Well, let me grab the last bit of the session for you.
Idran1701 (4:40:53 PM): Idran1701 (12:38:35 AM): *nod* Magical in nature, then. Well, if you were to join, then after ascending through the lower ranks, you could eventually end up in the
Bureau of Magical Incidents. There, you'd be helping other Administrators discover the general properties of spellwork. If you were successful enough, you could use these properties to
find ways of avoiding, or even reversing such happenstances.
Idran1701 (12:40:17 AM): It wouldn't happen right away, though. You'd have to work for the privilege.
CGNakibe (12:41:56 AM): Perfectly fine with me. I wouldn't mind the work, I don't think.
CGNakibe (12:44:27 AM): Besides. It might actually help me to understand that which I'd research if I did get promoted through the ranks.
Idran1701 (12:44:35 AM): *nod*
Idran1701 (12:46:42 AM): Well, you seem adept enough. I'll give you an introductory version of our handbook. In two weeks, we'll have our monthly entrance exams. It's simple enough,
just basic questions about the laws of Sigil and general questions about order.
Idran1701 (4:41:01 PM): (And we can start whenever you're ready.)
CGNakibe (4:50:18 PM): (Okay, ready now.)
Idran1701 (4:51:04 PM): (It's your line. :D)
CGNakibe (4:51:32 PM): (Ah. Huh.)
CGNakibe (4:54:24 PM): Ah, I see. I assume the exact date of it is in this handbook as well?
CGNakibe (4:56:05 PM): (... why is it so easy to see a "Bizzaro" Arian who is very LE, and willing to manipulate anyone if it helps him get ahead?)
Idran1701 (4:56:13 PM): (:D)
Idran1701 (4:57:56 PM): *nods* Of course. But it should be simple enough to understand; it's the 20th day of each month.
Idran1701 (4:58:01 PM): *simple enough to remember
CGNakibe (4:58:22 PM): Makes sense to me.
Idran1701 (5:00:08 PM): *nods* Do you have any further questions?
CGNakibe (5:01:25 PM): None at the present, but is there anywhere I should go if I have any more between now and the next entrance exam?
Idran1701 (5:03:07 PM): *smiles* Come back here anytime if you have something to ask. And if you're asking about study, we keep a law library only two blocks from here, just down
Advocates' Run.
CGNakibe (5:07:50 PM): Thank you for all your help, Keina.
Idran1701 (5:08:48 PM): Oh, it's my pleasure. *she smiles, shaking his hand again* I hope to see you at the exam. Don't let the other factions sweet-talk you too much, all right?
CGNakibe (5:10:30 PM): *chuckles* I'll do what I can, of course. See you later, miss Keina. *Arian collects handbook, and starts out the door...*
Idran1701 (5:11:02 PM): (And on to faction #2? :D)
CGNakibe (5:11:19 PM): (Onwards! To glory!)
Idran1701 (5:19:58 PM): *Arian's next stop takes him across Sigil, to the Clerk's Ward. There, it hardly takes him any time to find the Hall of Speakers, in one of the livier sections of the
ward. Lush inns dot the street, touts and criers walk the roads, calling out the news or offering their services of guidance. Merchants stand at the streetcorners, hawking rare goods from
across the planes, examples of the wonderous and the disturbing, the exotic and the perverse.
And the hall itself...it's impressive even by factional standards. A large, oval building with a tall spire atop it, from base to tip it must stand at least 350 feet tall, and it lies 400 feet across at
least; perhaps twice that in length. Outside the front entrance stands a large statue, with a plaque beneath it naming it "The Power of the One". The statue itself shows a woman leaning over,
a world resting on her back, while she shows not the slightest sign of strain. She even carries the hint of a smile, exulting in her achievements. People that he'd know as noble in any time mill
around, entering and exiting the building...he even finds himself the recipient of a few "commoner sneers" as he makes his way to the Hall.*
Idran1701 (5:20:10 PM): ( http://www.mysidia.org/Planescape/HallOfSpeakers.png )
CGNakibe (5:25:50 PM): *walks proudly into the place, knowing damn well that he's just as good as these folks, possibly better.* IM: Beginning to think that perhaps this place isn't for me.
Not as I am, at least.
CGNakibe (5:26:30 PM): IM: Ah, well. *starts towards the entrance* If I let a few sneers stop me when potentially being mauled by a goddess didn't...
Idran1701 (5:31:43 PM): *Inside! Through the doorway, he finds himself in a wide room, shaped like a half-circle, with a wide, curving corridor crossing the far end, and a single thinner
hallway heading forward in front of him. And through that hallway...the reason for the sneers grows slightly more apparant. He can hear something he hasn't really heard before, but he can
figure out what it is, at least; the sounds of a parlimentary debate. A peek inside shows 15 seats, each below the symbol of a faction, with a large wooden lectern in the center. A man
(representative of the Athar, going by the empty seat) stands at the lectern, speaking on the matter of a recent heavy increase in vandalism in the Hive.*
Idran1701 (5:32:24 PM): *Besides the path into the debate room, there is the wider hallway cutting across the foyer, which continues on to his left and right.*
CGNakibe (5:32:37 PM): IM: Well. That does change the timber of things, doesn't it?
CGNakibe (5:34:12 PM): *looks to the left, wondering what he might see in that direction.* IM: If they're in the middle of a debate...
Idran1701 (5:39:05 PM): *Down either side, he can see the hallway curve along with the round building, doorways lining either side, though mostly concentrated along the outer surface of
each. Folks mull about each hallway, about half appearing to be wearing the faction symbol somewhere on their person.*
CGNakibe (5:40:33 PM): Hmm. *wanders the hall, looking at any of the rooms are open*
Idran1701 (5:43:26 PM): *he wanders about, seeing...for one, a surprising lack of guards; despite his dress, no one's given him a second look at his wandering about the building unescorted*
Idran1701 (5:45:21 PM): *But more relevant, he doesn't see much that's all that helpful. None of the rooms, each being smaller ovals themselves, even have doors, merely short hallways into
them. Some look to be dwelling places (occupied or not), some are nothing but empty rooms with a single pedestal in the center, others are simply storage.*
CGNakibe (5:45:23 PM): IM: That's curious. Are they not worried about anyone odd wandering the building? Or what?
Idran1701 (5:47:44 PM): (What's he looking for, exactly?)
CGNakibe (5:53:26 PM): (He's just looking for where they might potentially be doing recruitment.)
Idran1701 (5:53:41 PM): (*nod*)
CGNakibe (5:54:27 PM): (Although knowing what they've got in the building is smart too.)
Idran1701 (5:55:18 PM): *As he heads down the hallway, the number of non-members begins dropping; more and more of the folks he sees are wearing the faction colors. They smile at him
as he passes them, or offer friendly nods, but he still doesn't see anywhere that stands out as a recruitment office.
Soon, he finds himself on the other end of the building; a foyer similar in design to the one he entered into, but much less crowded, and fairly quiet at that.*
CGNakibe (5:55:59 PM): (Back in a bit, Justin. Gotta take care of laundry and stuff.)
Idran1701 (5:56:11 PM): (*nod* Right.)
CGNakibe is idle at 6:11:00 PM.
CGNakibe is away at 6:16:00 PM.
CGNakibe returned at 7:00:18 PM.
Idran1701 (7:01:30 PM): (So, want to try double-sessioning, or wait until after this session to finish this up? :D)
CGNakibe (7:02:09 PM): (Wanna wait till after this session.)
Idran1701 (7:02:24 PM): (*nod*)
CGNakibe (7:19:20 PM): (Is Chat self-destructing?)
Idran1701 (7:19:42 PM): (Apparantly.)
CGNakibe (7:19:51 PM): (Finish this up while things clear up? Its possible)
Idran1701 (7:20:07 PM): (Eh, they're already coming back.)
CGNakibe (8:33:21 PM): The collar or what? >:p
CGNakibe (8:33:25 PM): *()
Idran1701 (8:34:22 PM): (Don't forget tail :D)
Idran1701 (9:51:09 PM): (...the light confused him at first, but it's magic, not just glowing.)
CGNakibe (9:51:55 PM): (Any aura to it?)
Idran1701 (9:52:15 PM): (d100)
Idran1701 (9:52:41 PM): (He can't tell)
Idran1701 (10:32:53 PM): (Last seen?)
CGNakibe (10:33:11 PM): [00:32] TheWaiChibiAngel: There's no point in arguing anymore.
[00:32] *** You have been disconnected. Mon Dec 03 00:32:55 2007.
Idran1701 (10:33:18 PM): CGNakibe (10:31:24 PM): Oh?
TheWaiChibiAngel (10:31:57 PM): There's no point in arguing anymore.
TheWaiChibiAngel (10:32:07 PM): ...
TheWaiChibiAngel (10:32:15 PM): But I garuntee you.
TheWaiChibiAngel (10:32:21 PM): Something bad's gonna hppen if I'm not here.
(10:32:40 PM) CGNakibe has left the room.
Besyanteo (10:32:41 PM): (Lil: And then Karl will make fun of you when it happens.)
TheWaiChibiAngel (10:32:42 PM): *Picks Larry up again.*
(10:32:49 PM) CGNakibe has entered the room.
CGNakibe (11:21:12 PM): Also Also?
CGNakibe (11:21:27 PM): SCREEEEEE~!
