Under http://mysidia.org/rpgww/Special:Allpages , "RP Advice and Ettiquette&action=edit" is listed, with the Main Page as the page linking to it (apparently, it redirected to itself, but when I ate that, it...I don't know, but it got better). I'm having a damnable time finding the link to that on this page, tho'. Any ideas? --[[User:Pdrydia|Dia]] 17:15, 5 February 2007 (PST)

The "misc settings" line seems to be a little outdated; unless I'm way off the mark and owe some setting designers an apology, I don't know that most of these settings have been touched in quite some time.  Is there a point where we should be removing them from this list?  After all, if someone new read about one of these settings from the link given, became enthusiastic about it, and decided to run an RP in it, most of us would probably have to say "Oh, I've never heard of that setting before, it hasn't been used on RPGWW in years, and possibly only one or two people have characters."  Oh, also, this list ought to contain the new settings people have been using lately: Metro City Supers, Amanda's NY thing, Shadow Gaera, etc.

• I have no idea what I'm doing just yet, so I'm fooling around to find out.

The first thing I want to do is make a structure for which we can copy over information from the website--I'm hoping the format of wiki will allow for the merging and simplifying of pages, to make reading and navigation easier. I'd like to lay off the graphics for now, considering the CCD deal (read it, folks).

At any rate, la la la. Playin' around. Oh! And: en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Help:Editing. Yeah.

• More editing.

I'd like to put in a few general notes in RP:_Canon and RP:_Systems, but for now, aiming this directly at the RPGWW community, that's a bit redundant. So I took out the edit links from there.

For those who have access, you can create a custom edit page by changing the TEXT_TEXT_TEXT in any other edit link you may find (like so) to the desired page URL/name.

If you do not have access, please ask Idran or I if you so desire.

Quick question about this, are we going to want to stick with in-page talk, or will we be switching over to each page's discussion page as things get filled in?

• Oh hey! Discussion pages! I forgot about that!

That sounds much more realistic. The discussion pages, that is. I'mma move over the full log to there.

[1] Under the Community heading I added "RPGWW Forum." While moving to a new forum, it's made me think that a page explaining the history of our moves might be worthwhile, at least for the curious.

Under the RP heading I did a number of things. [2] First, I combined the RP Archives and RP Summaries into one line/bullet (RP Archives and Summaries) with two links. They seem related enough to go together, and linking the words individually would be obvious enough to most viewers, I'd think. I could be wrong, if it proves to be a problem we could separate them again. For the Archives, I was planning on making a link depository--I'm not so sure the wiki is that great for storing RP archives, but it'd be great for people to dump the URLs to where they store their logs.

Theoretically, this could be done on the Summaries category page, above the "Articles in RP Summaries," or it could be filed as a separate "summary" of its own.

[3] I moved "GM Stuff" out from the bottom of the list under "System Stuff" and moved it into the same bullet with the aforementioned (System and GM Stuff). Now it looks less like one of those "which does not belong" lists. If GM Stuff ever got more pages to it, it would likely warrant different organization.

[4] The main thing I did was moving the links to 'character' from underneath the relevant RP settings to the right of those RP settings. A lot of unnecessary bullets are gone, the list is more compact and easier to read.

Slightly less intuitively, "characters (organized) by rper" has been moved to the right of "rp settings."

[5] I moved "Gaera Alternate Future" to 'misc settings,' considering its rate of use. [6] I added "Past Gen" to the list of Gaera timelines and added a link to its characters.

[!!] I suggest that the link to the MAC subpage [:Category:Gaera_MAC_Armors|armor] be removed and added to the [Gaera_MAC|MAC page] itself. Alternately, the Gaera MAC pages could be modeled after [:Category:Gaera_Main], which is conveniently a category (automatically lists its subpages at the bottom of the page).

Not sure if it's an IE7 problem, or just with my settings

With Firefox, the login button and the account options show up on the right. With IE7, those same buttons are showing up on the left.

As an added problem in IE7, the Rpgww*Wiki clickie covers half of the login button, making it difficult to click on. I'm guessing there's some kinda markup code the two browsers are interpreting differently?

Under http://mysidia.org/rpgww/Special:Allpages , "RP Advice and Ettiquette&action=edit" is listed, with the Main Page as the page linking to it (apparently, it redirected to itself, but when I ate that, it...I don't know, but it got better). "The Planet" link appears to be broken

It's currently linking to: http://rpgww.org/rpstuff/temp/adv_compendium/ That's coming up as "Not found."

Got it--moved it to yalogank and relinked it. --Dia 15:49, 26 April 2007 (PDT)
