I really need to replace a lot of these old spells. See the Advanced Philsys theory page for what I intend to use as guidelines. I'm going to bully them into making sense, and concerns about this should be brought to me immediately. I don't want people to start using new mechanics for the altered schools until everyone's cool with them.
Things I'm doing: Transmutation and MP costs for many spells. Druid magic in general. Shamanistic magic will stay for now. I already axed the additional effects for elemental spells at Archmage's behest. Telekinesis is too difficult, to the point that it's essentially useless. Several schools need to be added, namely star magic and movement/teleportation. Also, spells are rarely listed in rank order, and many of the mechanics are just plain freaking goofy. -Kai 15:38, 9 October 2006 (PDT)
I think that at some point we should go through the spellbook and fix any redundant spell school descriptors. It's not generally a problem that mental magic and telepathy are used interchangeably, for example, but it makes this a little harder for new people to get a handle on. --Kai 12:26, 9 May 2007 (PDT)
