troglodyte
LIFESPAN: 85 yrs
CONCERNED DEITY (DEITIES): Semuanya, Ryuugami
ORIGINAL CREATOR(S) / EXPERT(S): Divinegon2130
PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION:

humanoid; 4'-5' tall; scaly skin that varies in color (usually brown or tan); facial features similar to an iguana; black, beady eyes; thin but strong limbs; slender, four-foot long tail; males have a frill that extends from their forehead to the base of their neck

SPECIAL SKILLS:

infravision; light sensitivity (both to low-light and full daylight); great endurance; very disease-resistant; quite intelligent (slightly more so than humans)

MISC:

Troglodytes (also called "trogs") live in underground caverns, staying away from most races they meet. They know caverns well and can see even in very dim light, but are often blinded in areas where full daylight shines (usually on the "surface world"). Trogs prize steel and silver above all else, if only for the fact that they are a warlike race (not an evil race, mind you, just a warlike one) and those two metals are used for weaponry. They speak their own language, which they do not teach to outsiders, but a few learn enough of the Common language to communicate with surface-dwelling races. Troglodytes have an extreme hatred of the more evil and sadistic dragons, who sometimes slaughter them for sport. When terribly frightened, a troglodyte's skin secretes an oily chemical that smells twenty times worse than skunk musk - so bad, in fact, that some that smell it actually pass out from the odor.
